LinkedIn Ads: Troubleshooting Common Issues

Solutions for common LinkedIn Ads issues when using ContactLevel audiences.

Audience Not Appearing in LinkedIn

  • Verify sync status in ContactLevel dashboard

  • Wait 24–48 hours for processing

  • LinkedIn requires minimum 300 matched members

  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting LinkedIn in Integrations

Low Match Rates on LinkedIn

Audience Shows as "Too Small"

  • Add more contacts (aim for 500–700+ to clear the 300 minimum after matching)

  • Improve data quality with LinkedIn URLs and work emails

  • Wait for full processing (up to 48 hours)

Sync Failures

  • Most common cause: expired access token. Disconnect and reconnect LinkedIn.

  • Verify account permissions

  • Contact support if issue persists

Ads Not Delivering

  • Check audience is in "Ready" status

  • Verify bid, budget, and schedule

  • Avoid over-narrowing with additional targeting filters on top of your custom audience
