How credits work, what costs credits, and how to manage your usage in ContactLevel.

How Credits Work

ContactLevel uses a credit-based system. Each credit represents one contact that gets enriched with advertising data. Credits are consumed when new contacts are added to an audience and enriched for the first time.

What Costs Credits

New Contacts

You use one credit per new contact added to an audience. This happens when:

  • CSV Upload — Each new, unique contact in your uploaded file costs one credit

  • Contact Search — Each contact pulled from the built-in contact search costs one credit

  • Account List Import — Each contact discovered from your uploaded account list costs one credit

  • CRM Sync — Each new contact synced from your CRM costs one credit

What Does NOT Cost Credits

  • Re-syncing an audience — If you re-sync an audience to an ad platform, only new contacts cost credits.

  • Syncing to additional platforms — You pay once per contact, not once per platform.

  • Enrichment updates — Re-enrichment does not cost additional credits.

  • Viewing or filtering audiences — Always free.

Tips for Managing Credits

  • Clean your data before importing

  • Start with smaller audiences

  • Use Contact Search filters

  • Combine audiences strategically
