Getting Started: Quick Setup Guide

How to quickly get up and running with Contactlevel.

ContactLevel enables you to target specific individuals within your buying groups with precision advertising across LinkedIn, Meta, Google, and other major platforms. This guide will walk you through the essential first steps to get your account set up and ready for your first campaign.

Connect Your Ad Accounts

The first step is to connect your ad accounts to ContactLevel, so you can sync your audiences into the ad platforms and use them for targeting.

Step 1: Access Integrations

To connect your ad accounts:

  1. Navigate to the Integrations tab in the left sidebar of your ContactLevel dashboard

  2. Choose your ad platform - Click on the ad platform you'd like to integrate with (LinkedIn, Meta, Google Ads, etc.)

  3. Click "Connect" to begin the integration process

Step 2: Follow Platform Instructions

A modal will pop up with platform-specific instructions for each integration. We use our integration partner Polytomic to set up secure connections between your ad accounts and our platform.

Step 3: Complete Authentication

Follow the step-by-step instructions in the modal to:

  • Authenticate your ad account - Log in to your advertising platform

  • Grant permissions - Allow ContactLevel to create and manage custom audiences

  • Confirm connection - Verify the integration is working properly

Supported Ad Platforms

ContactLevel works with all major advertising platforms with different integration levels:

Real-Time Syncing (Available Now)

  • LinkedIn Ads - Professional B2B targeting with automatic audience syncing

  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram) - Social media advertising with real-time updates

  • Google Ads - Search and display campaigns with instant audience syncing

Manual Export (Temporary)

  • Reddit Ads - Export your enriched audience from the dashboard and upload as a custom audience in Reddit Ads Manager

  • X (Twitter) Ads - Export your enriched audience and upload as a custom audience in X Ads Manager

Note: For Reddit and X, tracking will still work perfectly using the ContactLevel tracking pixel and UTM parameters. This is a temporary solution - ContactLevel is actively working on real-time syncs with these platforms.

What Happens After Connection?

Once your ad accounts are connected to ContactLevel:

  • Audience syncing - Your ContactLevel audiences will sync to your connected ad platforms

  • Custom audience creation - Audiences appear as custom audiences in your ad managers

  • Automatic updates - Changes to your ContactLevel audiences automatically update in ad platforms

  • Campaign targeting - Use your synced audiences for precise campaign targeting
