Using your audiences in X Ads
X syncs directly from ContactLevel. Your audience appears in X Ads as a custom audience you can apply at ad group level. You no longer need to export a CSV and upload it.
Sync your audience to X
Connect X under Integrations → Connections → X Audiences if you haven't yet. See Connecting your ad accounts.
Open your audience and click Syncs.
Click Run next to X Ads.
When the run finishes, the status shows Synced. Match estimates update after X processes the audience.
Target the audience in X Ads
In X Ads, create or edit a campaign and open the ad group.
In the audience targeting section, add the custom audience with the same name as your ContactLevel audience.
Finish your ad group settings and launch.
Audience size
Many X users sign up with personal emails, so match rates vary. Aim for 5,000+ contacts for consistent delivery.
Keep the audience up to date
When you add contacts in ContactLevel, open Syncs and click Run again. The X audience updates in place.
To see which audience members visit your site from X ads, add the audience's cl_audience parameter to your ad's landing page URL. See Finding your audience's UTM parameter.
