Sync your enriched ContactLevel audiences to your connected ad platforms to start running targeted campaigns. This guide will show you how to enable syncing and manage your audience across different advertising platforms.
What is Audience Syncing?
Audience syncing allows you to:
Connect to ad platforms - Sync audiences to Meta, LinkedIn, Google, and other platforms
Enable targeted advertising - Use your custom audiences for precise campaign targeting
Maintain audience updates - Keep your ad platform audiences current with new contacts
Optimize campaign performance - Leverage enriched data for better ad targeting
Prerequisites
Before syncing your audience, ensure you have:
Connected your ad platform accounts to ContactLevel (Getting Started: Quick Setup Guide)
Created and populated an audience (see Adding a new Audience)
Added contacts via Contact Search, CSV Upload or CRM Sync

Syncing Your Audience
Step 1: Access Sync Settings
Navigate to your audience in the ContactLevel dashboard
Click the "Syncs" tab within your audience settings
Review available platforms - See all connected ad platforms
Step 2: Enable Ad Platforms
Enable all the ad platforms you'd like to sync your audience to. You can select multiple platforms simultaneously:
Meta (Facebook/Instagram) - For social media advertising
LinkedIn - For professional B2B targeting
Google Ads - For search and display campaigns
Other connected platforms - Any additional platforms you've integrated
Step 3: Initiate Sync
Click "Sync" to start the synchronization process. This will:
Upload your ContactLevel audience to selected ad platforms
Create custom audiences in each platform's ad manager
Make your audience available for campaign targeting
Step 4: Verify Sync Status
Monitor the sync progress and confirm successful completion:
Check sync status - See real-time progress for each platform
Verify audience creation - Confirm audiences appear in your ad managers
Review audience size - Ensure contact counts match expectations
Managing Active Campaigns
Adding New Contacts to Running Campaigns
When your campaigns are active and ads are running, you can easily expand your audience:
Add contacts to your ContactLevel audience using:
Wait for enrichment - Allow new contacts to complete the enrichment process
Click "Sync" again - Resync the audience to update your ad platforms
Updated targeting - Your campaigns will now target the expanded audience
Credit Usage for Updates
Cost-effective updates: When adding people to an existing synced audience:
Only pay for new records - You only use credits for newly added contacts
No charges for existing contacts - Previously synced contacts don't consume additional credits

Google Ads - May take 24-58 hours to populate fully. 1000 contact minimum audience size.
